Sadar Hospital of Nalanda, Bihar remains in the headlines every day for some reason or the other. Now a case of negligence of hospital staff has come to light on Friday. It is alleged that an elderly patient lost his life due to the negligence of the hospital staff.

According to the information, an unknown elderly man was admitted to the emergency ward of Sadar Hospital on January 13. He was complaining of weakness. The patient was being treated in the emergency ward. The old man remained lying half-naked on the floor below his bed for a long time amid the severe cold wave and cold, due to which he died. There was a nursing staff in the emergency ward at the time of the incident. A video of this incident has also surfaced, according to which the elderly man is lying on the floor in a semi-nude condition. Despite this, no one was seen to take care of him.

Doctor Vishwajit Kumar, who was on duty in the emergency ward, said that he reached the emergency ward of Sadar Hospital on duty time and went to make rounds in the ward. Then he saw that an old man had fallen down from his bed on the floor. They immediately picked up the old man and placed him on the bed. When his pulse was felt, he was dead. The guards and other personnel already there did not bother to pick him up from the floor. He did this out of humanity, but sadly the old man’s life could not be saved.

At the same time, health managers are unaware in this matter. An effort was made to contact the Deputy Superintendent of Sadar Hospital and the Civil Surgeon of Nalanda regarding the incident to know their side. Then the call was not picked up by both the officers.
